| Well, i got my new case in that will be the basis of my next main rig. Interesting enough was the fact that I ran into two objects in the package that I could not identify. If you can ll me what these are for I would greatly appreciate it so I can let my brain rest... The first thing... What are these plastic slits for? | ||

| Expansion cards that are really really long like from the days of 486 That ring looking thing I think has something to do with your cables, I think it's like a loop that the wires from your front panel go through. you must have one old case, I haven't seen that stuff on Socket 7 or higher. | ||

| Glitterkill : Those slots are ancient desgn for expansion cards. They used to be really really long. Some UNix Based server cards are still that long. Notice most cases that have fans or any plastic peice up front and you usually find slots similar to that placed in them to hold the cards. THe second peice is a wire weight. It is designed for you to take all the motherbaord cables that go to the led,hd,power etc and wrap them throught that donut once and back through it again. serves as a weight which keeps the wired hidden and tight behind the drive rack. come in almost every antec or case designed for server usuage. Without seing the case this has to be a fairly good size case. ![]() Hope that helps some DW | ||

| Well by the time I got back to this to answer it would seem I have been beaten.. Glad I refreshed so I didn't answer for a 3rd time anyway... I was thinking the donut thing was some form of an interference limiter or something to that effect.. If you take a printer cable (just an example) and on the end that has the large capsule like area right before the end hack that up and it has a cylinder of the (I almost guarantee) same material.... | ||
