The Ship - Anyone Play this?

I was just wondering if anyone on PCA is playing this game? I was thinking about buying it and was curious.... the concept seems very cool and I just wanna know if anyone here is playing or played it... whats it like... worth the money..... plenty of ppl on the servers? ect ect....

Its built on the Half Life engine..... released by Steam....

It looks awesome....

Sleepy sentry said he did a review or something on it, sounds kewl with that engine and producer, ill have to check it out

I bought it. I haven't played it, or any video game, lately though.

I did preview and review it on my website. I really liked it.

A one time fee of $20 gets you unlimited gameplay as well as 3 content updates for free. The content updates will have things like new levels, more items, more clothes, etc.

If anyone else at PCA gets it, I'd like to know.

The latest version of The Ship is based on the Half Life 2 engine. It used to be a free Half Life mod.

By early next year, a retail version of the game with a single player story line will be released.

I read about this game, and I agree that it looks interesting, but I'm not sure if I want to plunk down 20 clams on it.
No one on PCA has tried this thing out? Help out your fellow man!

yeah I know what you mean but I think I will end up buying it regardless but I was really wanting to know if anyone on here plays it so we could maybe get a small group game going....

I just tried it out, and I don't know if I just got a prerelease or what, but the graphics are crap. The gameplay seems kinda dull. I am more for the FPS than strategy games. IMO it is definately not worth $20.

ok.. I bit it..... I am downloading it right now and have about 10% left to go.... its $19.99 through steam and you can buy and download online....
