| Just finished a two-month-long website project today involving way too many hours, so I decided to take the afternoon off and spend it with my wife. I took her out to lunch, and as we came back to the car, a young kid walked up and said, "Mister, someone hit your car and took off." Great. The damage wasn't too bad (dents & scrapes)... But when someone causes you trouble, leaves it as "your problem", and there's nothing you can do about it... Grrr... But just then a guy pulled up in his Tiburon, walked up, and said, "I saw the whole thing. It was a woman driving a blue Mazda. Here's her plate number, and my contact info if you need a witness." YES!! So we filed a police report, they tracked her down, and she's getting charged with leaving the scene of an accident. The best part? The guy's vanity plate on the Tiburon reads, "PWND". ![]() | ||

| Hahaha the is wonderful that you were able to get her!!!!! I had the same thing happen to me when my girlfried and I were pulling into a Mcydees, Some dumb mullet kid in a pos neon ran a stop sign and cliped my front right bumper. I stoped and was going to get out when they took off. I jumped back in an chased them but they had gotten too much of a leed and we lost em.....And the worst part of it was that looking back on it I cant remember even if they had a tag :-( Good thing there are some people in the world that are honest. I spoke with the officer (how was very cute I might add) and she said that that is the number one problem in most small towns is hit and runs. | ||

| People always hit my car. It pisses me off so much. A girl hit my car last year, I filled out a police report. I still have a picture of her license plate on my car. I was driving like 2 months ago and saw her, driving with the cell phone. Stupid sorority girl.... Im glad you got some justice though. | ||

Lucky (or rather unlucky) for me, I was parked on a public street a block from the restaurant. Otherwise, I might've gotten the same response.. It's so refreshing to see people actually get caught when trying to stick it to ya. If she'd stopped and left a note, there's a good chance I would've just let it go. We all do dumb things, but refusing to take responsibility (especially at someone else's expense) just ticks me off. I think I'll be sending the "PWND" guy a Christmas card this year. ![]() Incidentally, she got written up in two police reports; one for the accident (oops) and one for leaving the scene (a misdemeanor in Maine; each state is different). | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
