Whats in my headphones?

Hey, so today, for soem reason, I took the pads off my Sony MDR V6's, just to see wahts in it, and the speakers are really weird, I've seen them before, but only once.

They're small, but with a clear, rifled like encasing. It looks to me like its sorta air-filled. What type of class are these exactly?

Here's a pic from a different set of headphones, trust me, I would never do anything to these V6's.

its just a dynamic driver with mylar cone and it probably has a neodymium magnet since its a higher end set of cans. the cone is mylar since its really light and the radial impressions are to add structure.
