I watched from about 20 minutes in but got bored when the whistle went at 90 minutes. There's only so much football I can stand. Still, both teams played really well.

Great World Cup. Unfortunately my team came in 3rd, but I was rooting for Italy in that game....if for no other reason than I don't like the french.

I was pulling for France/Zidane until that head-butt. Totally ruined the game for me, as up until then I thought it was a good match. Plus I hate to see the WC decided on penalties...

I actually think he said something that set him off. Only thing I can think of is some sort of slur.

I said Mexico was going to win...and i think they got to one of the two games before the final game. I watched the first 20 minutes of it and then left back to mankato from lincoln, NE....long drive.

I was looking around on MSN and FOX sports... Zidane's parents apparently immigrated to France and lived in a not-so-rich part of France... Might have had something to do with that, or with his age (not gonna play in the next Cup), or who-knows-what-else... Some of the French players told French reporters that it was a racial slur of some kind...

Materazzi wouldn't comment on what he said to Zidane, either, so who knows?
