Default Trash Theft

Hey everyone. I have a fast Question.
I think one of my roommates were browsing through documents that I had tossed in the recycle bin (I forgot to empty the recycle bin)Â…
Is there any way to tell?

Just be sure to rip everythin up, or light it on fire. Or if your throwing CDs away, Nuke em in the microwave for 5 seconds (use 2 cups of water to hold them up)

Are we talking Physical or Data? Not sure from the way you stated the problem it could be both... If your worried about digital you could set it to perminantly delete and not send to the Bin... If your talking physical trash... get a shredder (most new shredders that are worth anything can also destroy CD's... another easier and safer way is to simply hold a lighter under a CD (written side) for about 5-10 second and then use the top of the lighter or a pencil to push up a section of the disk so that it cant be put into a CD-Rom.... or simply shatter it although you run the risk of mild injury there...

After reading over DLoney's post again, I think he's talking about his computer.

Lock your computer, Well I mean, set a password for it. If they also use your comp, set up an account for them (Not admin though)

I always use BCWipe to delete things off my computer....I never send anything to the recycle bin. If I'm doing major housekeeping, I will send it there but BCWipe has an option that wipes the Recycle Bin.
