MDF Fab question

has abcolutely nothing to do with computers, but I don't know anyone to ask and I figured with the wide variety and sheer skill here, someone would know the answer.

I am building something out of MDF and want a high-gloss black finish, would i paint it the same way I would for a case? I would immagine so, but I don't know if the MDF would absorb too much paint or if it would require another step so that it won't...

Yeah, MDF sucks up paint and moisture. Try painting it 1st with Killz primer, then put down your paint. I've used MDF quite a bit working on my house.
