Yeah so who here has looked at a civic with a garbage can sized muffler shoved under the bumper and chuckled. Or thought that escort going down the road could fly. Well this is the anti rice thread. Made for giggles and arguements. Lets start with "You might be a ricer."

You might be a ricer if your car sounds like a leaf blower.

YMBAR if the bigger the wing the faster your car can go.

YMBAR if you say 2 liter is amazing and you are not refering to pop.

YMBAR if speed bumps scare you.

YMBAR if you think carbon fiber hoods make you go faster.

YMBAR if you think a body kit makes you faster.

Damnit, i agree with everything on that list, but if my parents ever get a new car and i get their neon i wanna get a CF hood and trunk. Partly because the hoods dinged up, and a black hood and trunk would look good i think, plus it might net a few more MPG with the weight savings, but im not sure. As for everything else though, yeah, it gets pretty rediculous sometimes. For the neon i'd get new intake, headers and exhaust, but a real exhaust system, not just a fart can. Ah, **** it, i guess i would be a ricer if i had a car.

i agree that that 1st car meets the definition of a "ricer" but i dont see whats so wrong with the camry. it has a subtle and tasteful kit and wing and it has no tacky stickers or a coffee can. thats what i hate about ricer haters, they have no distinction between a tacky import and a tasteful one.

There is a tacky sticker, "rims", and they shoulda gone with the CF alteezas instead of the silver, they just dont look right.

1 sticker is fine.... especially since it looks to be a club affiliation sticker. i wouldn't pick those rims but theres nothin wrong with them. the only way that cf altezzas would work is if the headlights are also cf.....in my opinion all the lenses should match on a car....in this case though i think the stock tails would look better. in the end though this is all jjust a matter of personal preference.

I still say the silver doesnt look right with the real dark tint on the windows.

My problem with 'rice' and 'ricers' if you will, is that there's not enough who are trying to be standout unique but classy. Those ungodly lookin cars with the 8 foot pipes sure do stand out . . . . like a clown at a Catholic mass. I miss the days of being able to count on seeing the updated 'rice' cars that looked like one of a kind production models. It's like 99.999% of the scene just gave up. Well, gave up, or are the punks who are doing it simply because they can/it's cool/they have way too much money to burn (Here's a hint, you lil punks! Send some to me!! Then your car won't look as stupid. My computers will!!).

Carbon fiber hoods DO make you faster, because they weigh less = better power to weight ratio.
