What has E-bay said about all this?

And yes I would have your dad contact his credit card company and tell them about the fraud charge even though paypal did it, they might be able to reverse it. Next if you haven't contacted ebay do so right away. Next send the other guy a email saying you will take him to small claims court.

Sorry man but you have been really screwed, I hope something can be worked out!

Edit: Also have you contacted Paypal over this issue about him not sending it back? Cuz thats BS. Where is this idiot located maybe one of the PCAPEX members can help you out personally?

You may contact the US Postal Service Postal Investigators if and only if you utilized the US Postal Mail service to send him the X-Box.

If you used a commercial service (i.e., FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.), then perhaps you can pursue settlement through their Legal Department if neither e-Bay or your father's credit card company refuse to help you.

Otherwise...it's live and learn. Sorry for the bad news.

No!! EBAY IS INVOLVED! There is fraud here and ebay is apart of it. Its there customer that bought your item and got a refund and did not return your item. ebay still had a big deal of this on there shoulders.

You would do good to file now.... the longer you wait the worse the chances of legal recourse..... If you file now your actions will prove you did persue resonable action to settle the problem. Save all e-mail digitally and hard copy include header info in the print....

Contact the carrier to inquire about possible solutions... also contact the buyer and CC the mail to Paypal and Ebay fraud departments informing him you are contacting the carrier about mail fraud and also you will be contacting a lawyer about it...... State that it is a federal offence and the charge back either needs to be paid back to you or the product returned in the same condition as it was received....

I would also put alot of heat on Paypal.... If you do happen to have a friend or friend of the family who is in the legal profession I would ask them about the paypal charge back but I would say Paypal has there arse covered on that front....

But long story short..... Dont set and hope it pans out.... the only way your going to get any resolution to this is to be proactive and take a stance on this....

Good luck

Normally they won i once had a paypal account and it went on a -50 dollar balance and after 3 years it went away and i still use it today, without losing the money, they dont normally worrie if you arent a verified buyer, seller, or dont have everyting super perfect.

They kinda dont ask for everything so people will use it whether or not its there name
