Here's the rundown...

I've been able to sign in to AIM for however long I can remember without any problems, last logon was last night 10:20pm EST.

Tonight, I try to log on to AIM and I can't. Says Logon failed wrong password or whatever.

So I go to the AIM site, go to the Lost Password Section, and type in my screen name. They are supposed to send the password to my registered email address. I wait, check email, nothing. I try it like 4 or 5 times the past hour and still nothing.

So apparently, the only 2 email address I would have ever used, are not the registered email addresses associated with my AIM account. I never would have changed it....so maybe it's possible that someone did change the email address and someone changed the password.

Unfortunately it looks like I'm screwed...no tech/help support at all. Searched google the past half an hour and it's looking like a lost cause...

Any ideas?

Give it time, i've forgotten logon details for sites i rarely use and when you do the password recovery thing it sometimes takes a few hours for it to come through. It could also be a problem with AIM, is anyone else you know having any problems?

Actually my friend was over here, and she was able to log on to AIM on my this computer and my laptop without a problem.

Yeah I'll check my email again before I go to bed and I'll check it in the morning, but it's not looking too hopeful lol.

Try googling for "AIM Password Extractor" you might find what you need to pull your stored password from the registry (if it's in there.)

Anyways, I tried logging in when I got out of work tonight, no luck, and I just walked back in the door and now it let me sign in. Weird.

And I still haven't received any emails from AOL/AIM with my password (I was able to log back in with the same password)

So I'm still questioning the email account thing.

Ah well, I'm sure it'll happen again lol
