Does anyone enjoy fiction writing?

I'm actually trying to get published again... I've written five books (a book qualifying as anything over 75,000 words).

I tend to cross genres, but right now I'm working on a series about an assassin working for a death cult...

The one I'm attempting to publish is about a sarcastic hacker trying to expose corruption in a new security program touted as the end of computer crimes... mostly in the form of subliminal behavior modification for advertisement purposes and tracking illegal activities...

Well, I'm not a huge writer but a friend of mine a a few other people started our own publishing company a few years back and published a few comic books. It was mainly small press work but my friends has incredible talent when it comes to pencil and ink. I was mainly a financier and was the Editor/Promotions Direcot until I moved out of state. I like to write, but inspiration is a seldom thing these days.. LOL..I usually go more in the direction of poetry and stuff geared for an older crowd. Funny, that, seeing as how I am still considered jailbait to some folk. Ha ha.

Actually... I'm going to just attach something I've been working on (on and off... I'm not sure where I want to go with it yet).

Basically, it's about a guy on the run from the government because of something he knows (and when I figure out what that "Something" is, the rest of the book will come together) ;-)

Too violent dark? Ever read the Mack Bolan Executioner books. I swear he's killed six people in the first 4 pages.
eg. "..he tries to stuff his intestines back into his shredded stomach cavity, not realizing he's already dead" to that effect...

Kayin... there is when you're trying to submit to "Dragon" Magazine.

They don't even accept agentless writers these days though... I dropped a query E-mail and was informed they no longer take unsolicited work...

You still have real skill man. Don't let them get you down.

try posting on a friend's site or something similar, with a lot of people who just breeze in and out. It will eventually get read, and you never know just who goes through places like that...

Heheh Mack Bolan, I used to read those books a long time ago. You know that scene in Hot Shots part Deux where he is going RAMBO and theres that little body count counter on the bottom of the screne? Well thats a Mack Bolan book...

Uhh, I had a novel rejected for being too "dark".

I also wrote a possible screenplay I decided to scrap because I thought the story of a vigilante serial killer who got off on watching people suffer would probably give other people ideas...
