| Maximum PC is pretty good, and I have been impressed with CPU (Computer Power User). CPU has a good hands on staff and I've been surprised at how far they have pushed the limit with gray area utilities. They are pretty new, only a little over a year old, but I learn a little something from every issue. Damn I miss PC Accelerator... | ||

| 12 bucks a year no kidden?wow i need to stop buyin off the newstand.anyway ya i buy maximum pc a few times but im going to stop for various reasons, 1 the net has allmost every review you could want.. 2 Most mags have or seem to have favotites that they will allways choose over another brand. 3every mag out there is published and covered by the ads....kind of getting tired of buying things that are ads for a company (shirts, mags, hats ,shoes,ect....) taht are plastered with their logos and myself paying for it ,seems backward to me. i say save your cash and put it toward something more long term,if you wanna read reviews go to the library,if they dont have the mags you are looking for request em and get your bros in on it to ,they will get em for ya. | ||

| I subscribe to Maximum PC, CPU, PC Mag, PC World, Computer Shopper, PC Gamer, Computer Gaming World, and about 5 other free mags on enterprise systems and government computing that I get because of my job. I read all of them and bookmark the areas of interest. I know you can get a lot of info online, but I enjoy laying down in the evening and focusing on the text, it tends to stick with me better. Plus I have a reference library on hand if needed. | ||

Buy a copy at the store and there will be the little cards you can send in. Or you could just take one of the cards. A third option is to get a free issue from them and they will send you a subscription form. Go here https://w1.buysub.com/pubs/IM/MAX/M2...s_mag_code=MAX | |||||||||||||||||||||

| heh phonebook shopper heck yea. 100 pages of people selling custom pcs back before everyone had no clue how easy it was to actually build your own pc. Maximum PC is the best mag IMO. However, I don't believe in buying any, cause the net is free, and you get any and all information when you want, sooner than the mags can get them to print. | ||

| I should subscribe, but its like a ritual for me to hit the Starbuck's then the bookstore every Sunday morning. I get them all and even Mac and graphic design mags too! MaximumPC is the best! I look forward to seeing the "Rig of the Month". In fact this issue features the "Iron Chef", Chris is a bud who won a local modding contest, he took the $400 case he won and modded it into the "Iron Chef", check it out. ![]() | ||

| Hey flounder; I'd rather see retard's putting together computers thanks to a guide then see them going off and doing something stupid like buying a pre-built peice of sh!t ![]() Though I think that if a magazine does such a easy guide such as that; it really shows you what level of "l33715lvl" the magazine is, in this case extremely low. Off the subject... 21 days until the three year wait for Harry Potter and the Order Of The Phoenix is over! 896 pages of reading bliss ahh J.K. Rowling kicks @$$ ![]() | ||

| tex i agree with ya but maybe i wasnt clear on the "bolting together " comment ...it was 4 pages of put your roms here in the bigger slots, put your floppy here , harddrive goes in the little slot that doesnt have a hole for a disk to eject, cable goes here,ect...if anyone wanted to build a PC they could just look inside a case or read the mobo manual.i am just getting anti mag real quick. | ||
