Need a Power supply

Looking for a PSU, I need a powerful one, about 500+w.
I found one once that "said" they were a "true 520" but I cant seem to find it now and I'm also at work and my internet access is limited.

if it is "silent" or have 25 ball bearings in each fan

might not be a factor 'cause i might not use air to cool it down.

Any suggestions would be helpful

I am going for the Antec myself, and I paid $85 for the true blue 480 at directron.

And in the "things that make you go hmmm.." department, I did a search on the part number for the psu Zennzzo found. And found out Fortron, Aopen and Sparkle psu's are all made by the same company. FSP. And the Fortron's run 20-25% less expensive. You might need a 24-20 pin adapter though.

another vote for the antec, get the truepower series, the true blues, are actually labeled higher than they support.

Duck,
CPU magazine did a review on the most powerful power supplies.

They did say that the best was the vantec van-470. Although it is a 450 Watt, it can push 550 watt easy. Only thing is, it is not as silent. It has 3 dual ball-bearing fans but I bet you can modify the fans and put in silent ones.

But it aint cheap. 139 bucks. But I bet you can find a better price if you search for it.

No,it'll support app. 510. The TruePower series underrates itself so that they can safely handle their max load.

I'm sorry to inform you that you were misinformed about the TrueBlue's not being as high as they are labeled baldwooky.
#1. Antec is too respectable to flat out lie to all there customers.
#2. TrueBlue's are respectable PSU's right up there with the standard TruePower.
#3. Besides you no one has ever stated that TrueBlue's are ill-labeled.
