| I have seen many forums posting this and talking about it. Its mainly fighting over this article is nothing but BS. But here I think we handle our selfs a little better. What do you think about this article. Its really interesting to me. I am a huge Astronomy buff so anything to help out space exploration I give it a thumbs up!! http://news.scotsman.com/scitech.cfm?id=16902006 | ||

| I read an article in new scientist a couple of weeks back about this "hyperdrive" idea Intresting theory - would be amazing if they could bring it into the realms of reality.. I guess we're just going to have to wait and see - at this stage it's just paper though ![]() Last edited by MasterP; 02-February-06 at 09:18 PM.. | ||

| You'll like this: http://www.grc.nasa.gov/WWW/bpp/ http://www.popularmechanics.com/scie...h/1281621.html I actually had a .pdf containing the mathematical theory behind teleportation before I reformatted.....but can't for the life of me find it again. ![]() | ||

Thanks for the links. I liked them! I also had some cool teleportation stuff on my old rig. I dont remember where I got them from or where they went.... ![]()

Which has brings me to the conclusion that we should try to move space, and not try to go through space itself. Space in turns moves us, it provides resistance. If we move space, we can move much faster. I posted something like this a while ago. http://forums.pcapex.com/anything_go...ht=Black+Holes

That las one about the Antigravity machine I saw something on it probably 10 or so years back. I think it is on Discover or something. Anyhow the machine was housed in a building about the size of Disneyland and to get into the actual chamber when the field is generated you had to crawl through some pretty small access ways. They ran a test in it and actually suspended a spider in air with it.

| in my point of view, thats physically impossible..... 11 lights years is a LONG time.... thats like saying i found a way to walk from tennessee to china in under a minute. If anything, they will figure out a way of making it to a star that is 11 light years away in less than 1000 years... otherwise time travel is the only thing they should try to figure out also, the moon isnt a planet lol | ||

Long distance, actually. EDIT: 1 light year = 5,865,696,000,000 miles. Well, if Heim's quantum theory can be proved, it'd be entirely possible. But I just watched Apollo 13 the other night, so... bring me back a Mars rock if you go. ![]() Last edited by FunkyFresh; 04-February-06 at 10:30 AM..

SHHHHHH! im supposed to be the smart physicist here.... and in my opinion its physically impossible with the technology we possess as of right now

| This article talks about going "into" another dimension, but my limited understanding is that we are already present in all dimensions, including those that we're not familiar with? Also, in the same way that conservation of momentum works in the three most easily understood dimensions, could I knock something backwards in time to propel myself forwards at a faster speed? | ||

| we are allready moving at a high rate of speed. Our solar system, the galexy were in and the combined cluster of galexies we are part of are all moving, constantly exerting massive forces around us. If you could some how selectively filter and manipulate gravity ,you would be able to travel in whatever direction you chose. Effectivelly you would be dropping out of the local gravitational effects .like falling through a hole. Even though you were moving it would seem as though your sitting still. Unbelievable speeds would be easily attained with little energy expended. We have only just begun to scratch the surface of the theories involving this technology It's funny cause if you ever see any Decent UFO footage the more believable pics show dark spots around the craft that change with direction. That suggest the light is some how being bent (gravitational distortion?) Just some rambling thoughts... Meanwhile we keep exploring more and more powerfull and complex technology . We seem to constantly employ the sledgehammer approach to everything. Wouldnt it be easier trying to use the subtle forces present all around us instead? | ||
