Question New Year's Resolution?

What resolutions will you make for 2006? Will you make any?

Mine is going to be to exercise (run/jog, push-ups, pull-ups, lift) everyday at least a little bit. I used to lift everyday and was quite buff for being 120lbs, but I completely lost it in the last year.

ive already started working out (yea I finally got off my butt and joined a gym). Some how, My weight has gone up and down, One day I lost 2 lbs, the next Day I regained those 2lbs, then the next day I gained another 2lbs, and then I lost it all again..

My Goal is 100lbs, Ive calculated how much I need to bike/walk in order to burn 1lb a fat. I burn 196 Cals Everymile. If I were to lose 100lbs, I would have to lose 2.083 A week. I would have to walk/bike 17Miles a day in order to do so, and thats not even considering my other workout in the gym. So far I can do 5 Miles within 10-12 Minutes.

And to help me keep track of my progress, I am keeping a blog.

EDIT: oh and of course TRY to get a job..

I'm with Spectrum, I need to read more on religion (mine and others)...'cept I'm keeping my caffeine.
Some people have made it their resolution to get me to give up Phillip and Morris...if that happens, then I will need to exercise more (all the quiters I know personally have gained weight afterwards).

And nerdz, what's your blog...we'll *encourage* you if you start slacking off .

I'm going to make 3 New Years resolutions:

1 - get a new job
2 - get a new job
3 - get a new job

I know that technically that's only one resolution, but as I loathe the work I do, the people I work with & the paucity of my income from it, I felt it was important enough to make three

Don't weigh yourself every day - do it weekly, at the same time of day, & if you haven't lost any, or even gained a pound in a week it's not a biggie & don't beat yourself up about it (unless you gain 5lb in a week or something)

im with you buddy, the beginning of this year i was at 150, i was lifting, jogging, swimming and eating as much red meat as possible .

im at 135 now....thats 15lbs of muscle loss . so i need to start my schedule all over again to get up to my target goal of 150lbs.

and it takes alot of work just to gain 5lbs of mucsle, my matabalizm is just too fast

(i dont use creatine, just whey protien shakes to help recover from workouts and to add weight)

hmmmm.

I'm noticing a lot of people reslouting to work out more.

Here's the deal. Come to Florida, bring a bike, and try and stay with my Killer Ray. I'll have y'all in shape in 3 or 4 miles.

My new years' resolution would be to start saving money. I'm just so bad with money "burning a hole on my pocket", so to speak. I never seem to have it when I actually NEED it, or when something i've always wanted is within my grasp.

Since i'm getting a decent raise this year, I hope to take a small bit every check (maybe $50-$100), and put it into a savings account.

Of course, i'm moving into a REAL house soon, so my savings plan may have to wait. At any rate, I HAVE to get it started.

Another big one would be for me to start the process of getting a BoP (Base of Preference), and see if I can get stationed at Luke AFB in Phoenix, AZ...my TRUE home! I can't stand this place i'm in right now.

Last year my goal was to bench 225 by Jan 1 2006 as sets and reps weight not max, I got to that goal in July, going to go for 300 by 2006's end.
Not to bad considering I started out benching 135.
Oh and to lose 25 lbs at the same time.
Heart rate isn't to bad , last time I checked was a few days ago it was at 53 BPM rest not to bad for 36.

Not to be philosophical or anything, but I don't really make "resolutions" at the beginning of each new year. I rather try to live my life better each day... that goal each day is to be truer to my religion.

I guess now since I'm moving away from home to start my junior year in college, my "resolution" would be to stay in touch with family and friends and to have fun and do well in school.

my resolution is to get back in my running shape. It was only 4 years ago that I could run a sub 4:25 mile and sub 10 2 mile... along with a sub 28min 8k. My fiance got me a 50 gift card to a local running store, so thats my incentive to go running again! Free short shorts! woot! look out ladies, the 'stud's gonna show off his legs again in 30degree morning weather

My resolution this year is to lose like 50-60 pounds. im sick of being a fat kid. I play it off well, and i love being able to make fat jokes without guilt, but i really need to trim down (diabetes runs rampant in my family...i want no part of that! ) id like to end up at about 200 lbs, which is i think a good weight for my 6'3" frame...im also just big. not gonna blame the fatness on "big bones" but my frame is quite large. And as for other resolutions, i really want to mod the hell out of my case. its a lian li pc-75 so ive got a huge empty canvas in front of me. i'll start a worklog hopefully too, but i really need to get some ideas first.

I'm always up for new year's resolutions! Not sure what 2006's will be...I usually come up with them right before the ball drops. I honestly couldn't even tell you what I had planned for 2005...maybe it was to graduate college or somethin
