There is some time constraint as they would be Christmas gifts. Thanks"
Being that I have no clue about webcams since I have never used, or never cared to use one. I seek your advice guys. Thanks. | | | | | |
Typically, you'll get a big cost-jump between the $20 range cams (which are all mostly of the same quality) and the $80+ cams, that can get exponentially better and costlier. So a question is, what will your boss' kids find to be acceptable quality. If all they're doing is video chat, they can probably get away with something relatively cheap, all of which are relatively the same in quality. Just find one with a mic.
However, I happened to notice today that TigerDirect is having a sale on a
Logitech Quickcam that has a lot of features, costs about $90, but there's a $30 rebate. If your boss doesn't mind spending that much, the camera itself looks pretty good.
Personally, I'm looking for a cheap IP-cam, something that simply has a built-in NIC and can just plug into a CAT-5 outlet so I can set it up as a baby monitor, and my wife's friends can hit the IP to see live images of the kid from across the country. Of course, there's always the risk that I'll forget to turn off the cam while she's breast feeding ... that would be bad. Funny, but bad.
