Default Calling all artists!!

I am looking for a few good artists, I don't mean ones that can doodle on a piece of paper. I am looking for people that have true artistic talent and can help transfer my rough idea to paper for me. I will pay people for their services.

I am going out to see my friend in Arizona in a few months and I am going to get my tattoo done in Las Vegas at Hart and Huntington. What I am geting is far from a simple barbed wire on the arm or a light piece of tribal artwork. I am getting a rather detailed tattoo but I can't decide on whether or not to leave something in or out.

So anyone who is interested in helping me out with this let me know. I have a rough idea put together in photoshop and can iron out the details later. Like I said earlier I am willing to pay anyone who has some real talent and wants to help. I'm not gonna pay everyone a couple hundred but it's not gonna be a measly $5, prices can be worked out later.

Thank you everyone!

I wish I had artistic talent on paper, but unfortunately all I have is graphics design with the old 'puter. Maybe someone like GlitterKill could help you out or something.

Hart & Huntington? Blah. You're paying to get a tattoo in their shop! Granted the guys are good and all, but you could get the same work done elsewhere for probably 1/2 the price. But, do what you wish.

I am going there because my friend who I am going out to see knows one of the tattoo artists and I am getting a discount on it.

What's the price range at what you're looking at for what kind of piece, if you don't mind me asking?

And by what kind of piece I mean the location, the size, and the amount of detail.

I'm just curious, that's all.

I don't mind asnwering at all.

I don't have the piece on this computer but it is as follows.

Left shoulder blade. A malteste cross with falmes around it, the cross will be red and on the inside is is going to say Engine 40, Ladder 35, FDNY 9/11/01 each on it's own line so it will have Engine 40 on the top then Ladder below, etc.... It is all gonna be in color and I am looking at maybe 75% of my shoulder blade.

Price range is less than a grand but probably more than $300

Get your ink slinger to do it. If they can't draw it, you don't want them to sling it.

Good point but don't they have do it draw it out on a stencil so they have something to follow?

Most just take the design, print it out, wet your arm, transfer the pattern onto your body and ink the lines. They're going to need to draw it out one way or the other if it's custom.

Exactly. And what you said about getting the guy that's doing the tattoo to draw it is another really good point.

Even though each tattoo is special, or should be anyway, that's nothing that a guy at a decent local shop couldn't do just as well as a bunch of guys who have their own TV show about their parlor.

I could get that done at a shop around here by a guy dubbed Saint John at Rendezvous Tatoo to do something like that for less than $300. I'm not saying to do one thing or another, but you're really only paying to get a tattoo by a 'famous' parlor. It's not like they're doing anything revolutionary with the industry, it's just that their in Las Vegas and the co-owner happens to be Carey Hart, and they have a TV show about their parlor. But, do what you wish.

The tattoo seems like it'll be sweet. Post pictures or PM me with pictures since I like body moddin' just as much as computer moddin'.
