Cool Interesting pics of "Hurricane Katrina"

A friend of my wife who lives in the Gulf area took these pics of Hurricane Katrina.

I've been in storms like that... (South Texas)... they are as intense as they look. Makes you wanna find a nice warm safe quiet place to hide!

Those are some really intense looking storms pictures Highperf15. The only storm that scared me the most was one time i was driving through the salt flats in Utah ,and seen what appeared to be a wall coming at me it was a sand storm went straight through it felt like i was in a sand blaster. Then there was another time i was in Oklahoma at a truck stop when a hurricane came through, and totaly level a truck stop not more then a half a mile away. That also was pretty intense with the high winds.

that is not a hurricane. those are thunderstorms----wall clouds. anyone see the tornado in one of them? i grew up in oklahoma---and have seen plenty of them.

i have also been thru some hurricanes---and it looks nothing like that. hurricanes look like a bunch of clouds moving really fast in the same direction. nothing like that.....
