the problem with those reviews on the Thermal paste is that they dont give the artic silver and other artic products a proper burn in time.

it even says on the website that ASIII and the cereamic take upwards of 300 hours to properly set. before that they are still in a lower viscosity phase and you wont get accurate representation of the cooling potental. which was why the plain white goop beat out the ASIII on this review

maybe ill have to get some goop together and do a proper test.

All in the name of science my good man!

Anyways for an acurate test you should follow the directions of each manufacturer, and i belive AS is the only one that requires a 300 hours setting period

I can't find them on sale anywhere?

Let me go and try newegg

Found one for only 5 bucks!
Don't know if it is the real deal.

They use it as a marketing scheme.
First they sell it for lower than the rest of the competition.
They make back their commission with shipping.
I remember I saw a site that taxed all items according to California tax. Thing is, when buying out of state, there should be no tax. They were the cheapest but I guess their scheme to tax was what made their commission back.

The best way to not to get screwed by shipping is to add multiple items to each order to be shipped.
But if the place you are ordering from does not have all you need then you are REALLY f***ed without the common courtesy of a reach around.
