| Hmmmm, well thats what I have heard too. But I have already built two rigs from them. My rig works great, havent had any problems. My dad's rig works just as good. I guess I haven't had problems with them because I haven't needed to call in for help (expect once). Well I'm going to start to find a new tech site to order off of. Maybe I'll go with newegg.com or DW's place. | ||

| I bought a couple fans from Directron. One fan was switched with the wrong one, even though the right one was listed on the packing slip, so that was a warehouse error. I tried the other (TT Smart fan), found it woefully inadequate, and returned both, they were supposed to send the correct fan and a Panaflo M1A seeing as I'd found another case fan already, they shipped the correct fan with an Antec Smart fan instead of the M1A ![]() Their customer service seemed a little lacking, I had to call, even after the RMA was in to get things moving, though it was supposed to be automatic, the dude on the phone was supposed to call back about the availability of the Panaflo, and he didn't... Oh well, chalk it up to experience. Distinctly so-so experience. I'll stick with newegg and googlegear. Most happy experiences with them. Then again I've never had to RMA with either of them (That's probably a good sign, seeing as how much stuff and how many shipments I've had) EDIT : Typo King reigns! | ||

| I have check out newegg.com and googlegear.com and the only thing keeping with tigerdirect.com is there easy site navigation. maybe its just me but there site pwns all the others. newegg.com for me is just harder to get around in. its probably just me, but easy navigation is a big plus in my book. im not going to spend 3+ hours searching for something that i need when i can get it for the same price somewhere else and only spend less then 1 min. searching. | ||

| Apex Advanced Techie | I've ordered a few things from tigerdirect in the past and will never buy from them again. One time they double charged my credit card, had to get the credit card company on a 3-way call to get tigerdirect to reimburse my card. One time they sent and charged me for an item I never ordered. When I got it I called them and they told me that they would refund my money and reimburse me for the shipping charge to send it back. I did get the refund but never did get the money for the shipping, like $5.00. The customer service always has an attitude and oh yeah, I ordered a case from them one time that came with a dent in it, would have cost me almost the amount of the case to send that one back to them for a new one and they wouldn't pay for the shipping. They suck; spend your money at newegg, svc.com or one of these other sites that deserves to get your business. | |

| I bought my PC from those guys. It quit working about 3 weeks later, so I went online to see if anyone else had problems with PCs from them and it turned out that they did. Then not wanting the same problem again I called up and asked for a "refund" they couldnt do that so I shipped it back anyways. Then after about 2 weeks and no money back in the mail I called up to see what happened, they just made up a **** load of stories and shipped a different PC here. When I got it, I checked it out and it didnt even have the same size hard drive in it ! It was a 60GB and now its a 40GB this 2nd PC is working fine but I feel i got ripped off ![]() | ||

| Sportbilly, a note on Directron: I posted a thread here called "Just ask for Jack". I was shipped a P4 Maze3 instead of an Athlon Maze3. Jack was very helpful and I got the right waterblock quickly. But it didn't end there. I received another call from Jack when he received my waterblock, another to find out if I was happy with it, and another to let me know that my shipping had been refunded. Newegg is great, but that type of personalized service will keep me a Directron customer. | ||

| i dont have anything to bad to say about them except its always good for a laugh, i was in there last week and the repair tech told a customer that he should throw away his pc because he had installed kazaa on it and it couldnt be removed, and it should only be used for a door stop ![]() | ||
