Default Damn you E-bay!!!

Okay... I decided to check into sellin' off some "Magic: The Gathering" cards... I went through a brief period where I played, and I figured they were just takin' up space in my world these days... so I figured I'd get some pricing on 'em...

Hit a site that said I was sittin' on what must be a grand or two... got all excited, but my natural skepticism came into play, so I hit E-bay... the $30.00, $40.00 and $50.00 cards were being sold by several people for like a buck... or in some cases... 4 of the same card for a buck!

Same deal on some old "Avon" collectables my Mom has... she had been retainin' 'em for years...thought they were supposed to be like all valuable and stuff... hit e-bay... 20 bucks... considerin' she paid like 30 for 'em like 20 years ago...

So once again... Damn you E-bay!!!!

I thought about selling my cards as well but for all the cards I have I could get about $200 on ebay and they are worth a hellovalot more then that...

They will just keep collecting dust until I have a kid or I find someone who will pay full price for individual cards...

Ugh I hear ya dude(s)

I was always considering selling mine...but I ended up just keeping them. I used to have a good friend that owned a card shop a long time ago, and he got me stuff real cheap, so I have like collections and collections of never heard of CCG's.

Ah well, they're all in storage some where

I sold a hole bunch of Alpha Magic The Gathering for like 20 bucks 2 years ago. I didn't buy them for a profit, so I sold them for that. I had more in my pocket after than I did before so I was happy.

plz, my green/blue/white defensive statis deck would have worked u hard. Ive run whole tables of tourney quality players with big money alpha decks. The only 3 tournies I have ever played in I won. All with different decks.

They pretty much totallyed ruined MtG after Legends came out after that they just cashed in and sold some lame ass cards and unbalanced the game in favor of rich fools that could just buy 4 boxes of the newest expansion and rip up ppl with earlier decks, even those that included moxes, timewalks, and all kinds of crap. It ruined the game, so i quit, too much $$$$ to blow on cardboard paper.

Oh yea ebay.. well I just bought 4 things off ebay the past 2 weeks. 1 never came, 1 came broked and the guy wont do anything but refund half the price of the item, except the item cost $3, and the shipping cost $15 (wow gee can u say ripoff artist). 1 came with minor dmg, but I fixed it easily.

Yay for ebay, land of expensive garbage. No wonder I can't sell my Star Wars or card collections on there for anything worth while, even the guys with 98% or higher feedback sell junk.

PM me a list of some of the MtG stuff you have for sale dark and how much you want for it, I know a few guys that may want it.

I love ebay, it financed 3 of my home rigs. I may bid on 100 items, but my bid is ridiculously low. Out of 100 bids, I may win a couple at MY price. Then I just turn around and jazz up the ad a little and re-list it right back on ebay. Last year I netted over $2,000 by playing this game. Yeah, I got burned a couple of times but that is part of the game. I hadn't played around with it this year because I'm pretty happy with my equipment, but when upgrade time comes, that is how I'll make my pocket change. That's money that momma can't bitch about.

I also had a crap load of legacy equipment that I was going to throw in the garbage. Come to find out, some people actually want this stuff and are willing to pay for it! Not a lot, but better than feeding it to the dump.

If you know the rules of the game and are careful, ebay can be a great place.

I have been doing the same for the past 3 years BA.
Heres what I do. Some refurbished plants in the california area offer a real cheap price on goods.
Last year I purchased 15x of an Aiwa tiny radio that came with headphones. I got it for 11 bucks each. I sold each for 25-35 on ebay.

One of the best things I made a profit was on Sharp Zaurus.
I got 8x for only 10 bucks a peice and I sold for 65-95.

That is what I call a profit.
On things such as collectables, do not expect to make the worth value. Check me out on ebay, my seller name is newyorkauctions
