... of having to deal with dialup.

As some of you may know, I'm prolly the PR member that's been around longest without broadband. And it's been killing me because I knew that if it was available where I live, then we'd have it. And it finally became available. The modem's all ready and hooked up, just waiting for the phone company to "activate the line" or some crap like that. That's supposed to happen Thursday.

So, in celebration, I encourage all of you to buy me games that I can now enjoy online, such as HalfLife 2

Hopefully your introduction into the broadband world, won't be as bad as mine was in an area that recently recieved broadband last year....I was the 35th person to get broadband in Newberry, SC and we had a helluva time keeping the connectino fast and quick. It seemed to go down once a month or so...really kind of annoying, but it sufficed for awhile.

Hopefully your area is better prepared and more knowledgable about the whole process than mine was

i was preatty late like you where, it hasnt even been a year yet i have cable, but damn is it ever great changing
