There have been 113 shuttle missions. There have been two accidents, so there is a 1.77% chance that something will go wrong.

I, personally, would take those odds in a heartbeat if it meant spending 12 days in space.

I was down there 2 weeks ago. The Saturn V is an awesome sight to see. We took the tour of Kennedy on satuday the 9th, and went back on the 13th to see the launch, but as you know it was scrubbed. It was awesome to be within 1 mile of the Discovery sitting on the pad.

Everyone where I work stopped what they were doing and went outside and watched. I mean everyone. Boards fell out of the wave in our dept. and were lying on the floor when we came back in.

It was awesome, my father works at the Space Center so you can imagine how I must feel about this.
