| In light of the recent posts by our newsbot, M$ Windows 2000 will soon be on it's way to the old OS home. http://forums.pcapex.com/showthread.php?t=47177 So I was wondering, how many of us still use 2000? Last edited by Im_gumby; 30-June-05 at 08:32 AM.. | ||

| Only at work! But then, all (several hundred) of our desktop machines at work are on 2000. Moving to XP at work would be hard to justify. Win2K runs everything we need it to, does so stably, and the support staff knows it inside and out. Course, knowing my company, they'll wait till Longhorn comes out -- then they'll upgrade to XP! ![]() | ||

| Both my main home computers run WinXP Pro and Suse 9.1 Home. I have an old Amstrad 486 running Windows 3.1 and another old machine running Win98 (very badly i might add...) Even my old high school and college are running Windows XP Pro (Corporate probably) throughout the sites. Thats at least 700 machines, so i guess they're quite with the times too ![]() | ||

| Sick as it might seem, I wish I did have a PC with Win2K on it. I jumped from 98 to XP and skipped right over 2K, and now have machines with one or the other. For my own personal education, I'd like some experience with 2K, although it's not something I'm actively seeking. I do have a bit of experience with WinME...and I'm not shopping for a copy of that. I have also dabbled with Linux variants, but my skills with that are about equal to my skills as a midwife... I'll stick with hardware and cutting stuff up. ![]() | ||
