| I was wondering why I'm warned that if my SATA cable is bent 90 degrees, it may cause loss of data - how is that possible? And why do they need fancy new power connectors - if I can buy a convertor that plugs into a molex, they're obviously not receiving anything special? | ||

| The cables have special voltages that newer drives'llbe able to take advantage of. As of now, I don't think any hard drives require that it comes from the SATA connector of a PSU versus a converter. But the time will come when it's necessary, so I'd advise that if you wanna buy a PSU you pick one up with SATA connectors -- there's no reason not to. | ||
