| YOUR AGE BY CHOCOLATE MATH (fascinating) This is pretty neat. DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST! It takes less than a minute . . . Work this out as you read . . . Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out! This is not a waste of time thing, it's fascinating and only for 2005. 1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate. (more than once but less than 10) 2. Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be bold) 3. Add 5 (for Sunday) 4. Multiply it by 50 . . . I'll wait while you get the calculator . . . 5. If you have already had your birthday this year Add 1755 . . . if you have not Add 1754. 6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born. You should have a three digit number. The first digit of this was your original number (i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week). The next two numbers are . . . YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!) THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2005) IT WILL EVER WORK, | ||

| This won't work next year.
Using 3-1-86 as the birthdate. Step 1. Pick a number: 1 Step 2. Multiply by 2 Step 3. Add 5 Step 4. Multiply by 50 Step 5. Add 1755 (since the birthday is in March) Step 6. Subtract the birth year 1986 -or- 1. ( x * 2 + 5 ) * 50 + 1755 - 1986 2. ( 2x + 5 ) * 50 + 1755 - 1986 3. 100x + 250 + 1755 - 1986 By multiplying 'x' by 100, you moved it to the 100's place. Hench the reason for picking a number between 1 and 10. By adding 250 to 1755 you get the current year 2005 (This is why it won't work next year). 4. 100x + 2005 - 1986 Subtract the years. 5. 100x + 19 which is x19. Or the number you picked followed by your birthday.
And yes, I point out the obivous stuff from time to time. | ||

| ROFLMAO...it worked for me; that was an awesome thread (i wish i had a better grasp of math so i understood why it worked); Ator: that pic is priceless ; at some point in your life, you will realize that the math you picked up in HS/Coll is actually applicable to something that you want to do (chances are that you will have forgotten it by that time as well ). | ||
