Default Cleaning tygon

i picked up a few feet of tygon and was wondering how i would go about cleaning it out there are a few brown spots in it and kinda want it to get clean so that i can use it, so what do they Water Pimps think?

Try looking in aquarium supply stores. They should carry some long pipe cleaner type brushes for cleaning tubing. As for a solvent....I'd try something mild, like soap.

i had some tubing that i didn't add any additive to for 6 months. green stuff was coating the tubing the entire length. i dumped some comet into the tubing and ran the pump for a little bit. stuff came right off.

You can always go back to the old fashioned way of cleaning in hard-to-reach places: pipe cleaners. You can pick them up from almost anywhere that has a craft section or whatever.

As for solvents and actual chemicals, I'm no water cooling expert, but how about bleach or a diluted Liquid Draino (for use in plumbing systems)?
