| Senor Cisner-Hoes | i finally disovered that there are forums on hardocp (i usually go there for the headlines) and i started browsing. after a couple of days lookin 'round, i have come to the conclusion that PR is one helluva close knit, and knowledgable community. just goin through the forums, i read about people talkin bout there dual pentium 4 (hah) systems and somebody countered saying that AMD or pentium dont make dual chip setups. is it just me or is that really lame? im not into SMP but i even know that! now after look round other sites, i am noticing far less of a knowledge basis than that of the PR forums. yea well just an observation EDIT: in addition to that, i notice that a great many of posts dont even have text. just quoting somebody else earlier in the thread. not even a smiley just a straight up quote. or even a smiley that does not apply to the thread like they r just rackin up posts. like a guy shooting guns but the it makes no since at all!! ugh brandon | |

| Lokie's Personal WU-Hoe | I kind of migrated from Xoxide's forums somehow, and now when I go back there I don't even bother browsing the forums for 5 minutes because of how many "un-knowledgable" posts there.....Back when the forums were small it was much better. Sometimes I head over to neowin.net and just browse since it isn't as active as most forums, but it does provide good information. | |

| sorry i had to do it, i don't know why or what came over me. you are right i check out a lot of other modding sites my self and i always like PR's content and knowledge the most. I think that the attitude here is what keeps the lame asses away. Plus if you don't know your sh1t here every one will tell you where to go. | ||

| That's the reason I stayed. I used to go to the [H] forum, the Via forums, and the AMDMB forums, but they were lame. Everyone is either trying to sharpshoot each other or they post idiotic content that other folks believe is gospel. I recognized early on that PR isn't so much a forum as it is a community of very knowledgable computer enthusiasts who like to get together and bullshlt about their projects. We also have the distinction of having some extremely smart folks who enjoy helping out those new to the modding community. GK has worked hard on his site and it is starting pay off with a little bit of revenue. Members who visit, stay, and contribute is what makes this site special. Also, our forum policeman, DuckWarrior, is swift and deadly with his brutal justice when folks get out of line. | ||

| This was the first and only site that I have ever posted in the Threads. As most of the older REG's knows, it was not that easy for me to do and very intimidating. I see no need and I have no desire to go to anywhere else. The knowledge here is top rate, the ideas are far above anything I ever would have expected and the PR community is TOP NOCH! Besides the Admins/Mod's it's also the REG's that make this the BEST MOD'n PLACE ON THE WEB! | ||

| I'm happy to say that I migrated from tweak3d and never looked back... tweak3d turned me off with the pic of the week w/ make a caption.... and then had no other news for two weeks. There's only so many times you can reread the articles before you get bored. There, it was about... twice. Anywho... I'm happy to be here, and know a LOT more than I did a while ago.. | ||

Same here. They were my main source for info, with PR being sort of a fallback. Now it's the other way around. I think the quality/frequency of VH's updates has definitely declined recently, but the main reason I switched is that PR just seems to have a stronger base of knowledgeable, active members who seem to enjoy contributing to the DIY/mod scene. Just my opinion (still do love VH though). | |||||||||||||||||||||
