Just want to add something here:

There are times you can post in the threads 20 times and post in the gallery 5 times however there are also times that you post only once in the threads and none in the gallery.

This is all based on the topics, what's going on, and how much time you have. It's not fair to accuse a REG of trying to gain a high post count because there is NO BENEFIT! However, I'd have to say the oposite is true for a NoOb, who wants to make a "name" for him/her self and get a "custom" avitar.

Just a little more insight.

A n00b proves themselves through the content and assistance they provide. There is no given gate or right of passage, just eventually you become a reg. The unwritten rules are a little more lenient then, you are able to sometimes just give your two cents without actually providing content. Just like this post. I still don't like double posting to answer a single question though, that is what the edit button is for.
