| Front page will do all of the HTML for ya Red. You just set you your page basicly like you would do a word document. But if you are gonna use this tool, i would highly recommend you know HTML too so you can understand and edit your own code. I like Dreamweaver myself personly. | ||

| Hope you got FP 2000 at least. FrontPage 97 sucked, cause if you made any HTML changes it didn't like, it'd change them back without telling you (2000 and newer have a "Preserve Existing HTML" option). Version 2002 has some nice features they should've built into 2000, but 2000's pretty decent. I've heard Dreamweaver's the way to go too, but haven't tried it myself. At my job I use mostly InterDev and FrontPage, but I end up writing a good part of the source myself, so Notepad would be good enough most of the time. | ||

I understand the basics, and can read most of HTML, and Java Script. Um.....about dreamweaver, is it like Frontpage, where u dont really have to write HTML just know it to edit stuff?

| I been using HTML since my first mac 8 years back. I taught it in a class as a tutor for kids who could not understand to write simple HTML. I used this website to keep myself on track: It was updated a few times, but it rocks for newbs. http://archive.ncsa.uiuc.edu/General...LPrimerP1.html | ||

True; these types of programs usually have both types of authoring interfaces: one that gives you a totally visual interface (using menus, buttons, and drag & drop -- no HTML required), and the other that lets you write the actual source code, if you wish. It can be a great way to learn HTML, cause if you want to know how to do something, you can just use the visual interface and then switch to Source View to see how the code looks.
