It's a drive imaging program.

It makes a a backup copy of your entire hard drive(s), which you can put on the drive itself, a disk, or a remote computer, and at any time use Ghost to place that copy back on your drive, overwriting whatever is on there.

Its like windows restore, except it actually works.

Edit: ^^ was that really neccesary? I bet it took me less time to just tell him the answer and help him out than it took you to flame him.

Ghost is like Norton Go Back, expept it records an entire hard drive sector by sector, instead of just recording changes in the hard drives original content like GoBack does. For ghost to work you need a large storage medium to record the data onto....Tape drive or 2nd hard drive is the norm.

Its meant for business class users, and GoBack does exactly the same thing in all honesty, just in a much easier way.

Agreed, nev. We use it on a network with about 500 PC's, all of the images are stored on a server. I just pop in the ghost floppy, select the image depending on which PC it is, and 5 minutes later it's ready to rock.

Yeah its a good program for rolling out alot of workstations fast

my college uses something like it not Norton though.
