Post HOW HOTT IS TOO HOT ??? The Hottest Hot Sauces!

The Hottest Hot Sauces!

Blairs 6 A.M. - The Hottest Sauce in the World!

No longer being produced! Sixteen million scoville units in one tiny bottle. Okay, so it's not really a sauce, it's an extract, a food additive only, but who would want to put this kind of heat in their food?

I have a friend who makes his own hot sauces and oils . . . two weeks ago, he created one that basically made his skin have a chemical burn reaction just short of blistering, but he finds particularly yummy.

The Recipe is here,

and the story of his discovery of the burn is here.

I'm willing to bet he could swill the 6. A. M. stuff and come back for more.

I was in Pepper's down in Key West (sells nothing but hot sauces) and they mentioned that they had a bottle drop & break. So many scoville units in it that the fire dept had to come in hazmat suits to clean it.

Seems a bit far fetched, but it was a good story.

mmmmm...breakfast.

Seriously, Scotch Bonnet (Habanero) is about the only one on the list I wouldn't cook with. All heat and little flavor. Sonic has a pretty decent burger with a Habanero sauce though. Pequin's though are a great little pepper for chili stews that need a little extra kick. Just don't mistake them for spanish peanuts...it could get real ugly.
