holy crap, i alwayse figured they did this, now i know...the part that bothers me is they reserve the right to give it to basicly anyone...i guess this means no more sending nude pics all over aim...

im not going to STOP using it though

Why would I use AIM or Yahoo, or any 3rd party CRAP!

Anything but MSN is CRAP, CRAP, CRAP, CRAP.

Ventrillo is good for its purpose...but I say no to 3rd party spyware crap.

I use Trillian... It still goes through AIM's servers so Im still at risk but yea Trillian pretty dang sweet...

Seriously like everything is being tapped now... Even our phones are monitored and start recording if you say bomb or something similar...

For personal use, I guess it's no different than gmail. But the fact that they are using those same rules for AIM business customers is just plain stupid.

People, use Trillian and use Secure IM. AOL can record it, but unless they wanna decipher 128 bit encryption it's worthless garbage.

By doing this they forfiet any sort of common carrier protection. All its gonna take is the RIAA or MPAA to sue them for people sending music and stuff over their network. Also, this isn't legal in a lot of countries. I expect this to go away soon. In the meantime, trillian and encryption, not that i ever agreed to this since trillian has no TOS besides for the encryption.
