I can't sleep without some kind of white noise, I think it's creepy when it's real quiet

Yes, my wife is my biggest fan. Oh, you mean one that blows air. No. The a/c vent is over the bed so one is not really needed.

I have to have a fan, or my computer running at night to sleep. Whenever I'm at someone elses house, I make sure I find a fan also.

I'm kind of like Scorpionic.. I need some sort of whirring noise... don't know why... just how I am and always been..

It's hell trying to sleep without one O.o..

I sleep with my computer on most of the time and in summer I sleep with a fan. It does get quite hot in the basement in summer time and that's why. Other things I sleep with are my cat and my stuffed Manatee (sea creature).

My eldest son sleeps with a fan on him, even if it's freezing outside. He doesn't sleep well without it. I don't know why but he has to have the noise and air on him when he sleeps.

I sleep with fans on most of the time, the monotonous sound is kinda calming.

What I'd prefer to sleep without it the alarmclock...

Funny thing is, I used to hate noise when I was trying to sleep. But since I went to college and heard my roomate's fan during the night, I find that now I can't sleep without one.

I have a very old Sears brand box fan going 24/7. I find it calms me..sound and feel of moving air.

I sleep with a computer (chieftec dragon tower... so by default.. 5x80mm fans, plus cpu psu gfx etc...) and an upright fan (its like a tower, and it blows air)...

It's not so much that I need the noise, its the need for air circulation since my girlfriend smacked her arm and bent the blade on my ceiling fan (and thus rotational vibration up the wazoo.... on high it would wobble the blades against the ceiling...)

No real problems with darkness either... I guess that comes from camping... *shrug*

I sleep normally with the ceiling fan in my room on low speed, speed setting two if it's warm outside. If I throw it on high, it sounds like it's about to rattle itself out of the ceiling...

I also have the computers running almost 24/7. I turn them off once in awhile when it's exceptionally warm, or I just figure I can't sleep with them on that particular night.
