Default DVD burner question

Well I got a dvd burner for my b day yesterday, finally. My question is can I use my copy of Nero 6 that I bought a while back or do I need to use the nero express that came with the burner?

I just got one myself earlier today . . . As soon as I get outta work *shifty looks side to side* I'm gonna drop mine in and test . . . If you want to wait, I'll let you know. However, the educated guess is that it'll work fine with what you have.

Edit: The Nero site should have a list of drives that are compatable . . . . I just remembered that . . . *smacks head* Check there!

You cna use nero 6 or nero express. I find nero express a little easier to use. But I do use both and I've tried it on 2 dvd burners and it works fine.

Just an update, even though it may not be needed . . . Dropped in my burner, and Nero had no prob running off of it at all. Burned a 2 gig compilation like buttah. Now, to spend $20 on a controller card so I can use the SATA drive I bought . . . *wanders off in frustration*

Yeah I tried it and no problem. DVD's are not cheap so I wanted to ask before I tried. Thanks.

No prob. . . I'm now just sitting here feeling like a smack tard because the answer to my SATA prob just kicked me in the nuts . . . . So the drive is now being setup by MaxBlast . . . and now I go to delete the other mention of that incident . . . *runs away*
