Took my car in today as I felt it was unsafe because of the pedal sticking and not being able to accelerate faster than a Geo Metro. Toyota diagnosed my problem very simply and its quite funny to think about it now. It was an old speedo cable (installed a new one back in Summer of 2004 and I left the old a chunk of the old one in the engine compartment by accident, causing it to wrap around the throttle linkage). It also appears that I had some wire wrapped around my pedal (note says it was speaker wire, which it wasn't, it was some wiring i left from redoing my blower motor). Notice my sheer stupidity cost me $100 ($130-$30 for oil change). They also tuned my engine Idle RPM a little bit and jeeeeeeeeeez this thing flies now. Free revving and happy. Apparently my crankcase is toast and needs redoing aswell and there rust ate its way through the bottom of the car in one spot and caused carpet to show though. Toyota showed me that and I was like WHAT THE @*#@! So anyways check out these two pictures of my statement. I think its time I get a new ride. I had a brand new
Ram for a whole three months til i lost my job, and my father took over payments, with payments ending in April and the returnage of the vehicle, so I believe its time to start looking for a new vehicle now that I got an income again (but one that is $200 or so a month of payments).
