![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey, I am considering starting up a blog since I usually have a good many thoughts flying around my head lately. My question is , does anybody road the stuff? I see no point in putting it out there if no one is going to read it. So does anybody have a blog here and if yes can you tell me if: its worth my time , anybody reads it and if so where is a good place to host it? Thanx, Morion. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well, in my opinion, you'd have to do one of two things... 1. Become well-known by gaining celebrity status for being a movie star, athlete, or rock star. People will read your blog on a daily basis. .....or..... 2. Be an a**hole...not just an a**hole, but an interesting a**hole. For example, that stupid site that the former PR member Tekroid worshipped like he was the second prophet or something. He kept quoting it like it was the new gospel. I checked out the site and basically it was some anti-this and anti-that kind of guy that really grated on your nerves after a while because he had no point other than he was just anti-establishment. It's great if you have a valid point, but this guy... Other than family members, I don't see how a person could gain a big following unless you've got some kind of public relations campaign to get your word out there. Granted, there are a few sites out there that have a faithful following, but with the plethora of blogs online today? Give it a shot...what have you got to lose? Rob

| Key Hoe | Just do one through one of the many blog communities. Make comments on their sites, they tend to comment back and read, maybe get a hook, do various stuff like that. And, as gorked said, if they wanna read it, they will. If you feel that something other than a free blog, good luck getting a nice readership. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Heh well rob, I already have the ass**** part going for me then.. Im not expecting a huge readership i was just wondering if people kinda look at a few blogs when they are bored. I just don't want it to sit around not being vieiwed even once. But now that i think of it it doesnt really mater since it's purpose will basically be a cathartic release of ideas. Im just going to devote a page on my website to it which my friends occasionally view. |
