| Looking to buy some quality headphones for work. Long story short, I've got downtime here and there, and sometimes I get to work a little too early. As a result, I usually either listen to some mp3's that I burned to a disc or I'll bring in a DVD to watch in the background while I'm working. Unfortunately, my KOSS digital headphones from 1990 just don't cut it very well anymore. What I'm looking for is for some DJ style headphones that will fit over the ears. Mainly for watching movies on a Dell P4 with no special soundcard and sometimes just to some mp3's. Looking to spend anywhere in the range from $30 to $60. Any advice on brand? Rob | ||

| THIS IS MY CURRENT HEADSET! I know they are a headset, but they have the best sound out of any headset i have ever owned. and the microphone just sweetens the deal. | ||

Yeah Plantronics is probably one of the best headsets for gaming along with sennheiser. I have the Plantronics DSP-500s myself and I think they are great also. However I have had a chance to test my friends expensive "DJ" headphones and my "Headset" does not compare to the quality of sound of soely the headphones. I hope that makes sense?

| Audio Technica all the way. I'd reccomend any of these. IIRC the ATH-M40fs' were our best selling headphones that didn't come in a bundle deal (ATH-M20s came with like everything we sold...). These are what i've got and i love em. To bad i dont work there anymore, might be able to get you a deal, but you could probably find them cheaper than what they sell for there somewhere else online. | ||

| i reccomend the grado sr-80s or the sony or shure in ear headphones. the grados for sound quality vs. the in ears for privacy (others cant hear what your listening to which can lead to angry people) and you wont hear any outside noise. i also reccomend sennheiser if you really want the dj design over ear style go with the sonys or sennheisers | ||

Avoid this headset - They're heavy as hell and will make you take them off after wearing them for over an hour.
