On a budets I recommend the ImageQuest 17" at Newegg - I have sold a few of these and they are amazing. Clear, bright and I couldnt get one to ghost now matter how hard I tried. They look better in person then they do on the site so dont let the sway your decision. The downside is the lame intergrated speakers.

For comparison I bought 17" Sony LCDS for alot more money and I would prefer the ImageQuest LCDs over mine any day. I have also sold the Acers with very good results, they dont have the intergrated speakers so thats the way to go if those absolutely bug the shat out of you.

Steer very clear of Rosewill - sold one of those and I swear it looked and felt like cardboard with an LCD glued to it.

no ghosting as i can tell as of yet. played some CSS and Doom3, ran a few saves from HL2 and everything is really vivid compared to my last monitor.

I'm extreemly pleased with the performance thus far.

sounds like you got yourself a very nice monitor than.
i cannot wait until i get my new case, than i will install my new cooling, and OC my cpu a bit.
