Default Polishing Plexiglass...?

Does anyone know a good, cheap way to polish plexiglass and remove hair-line scratches from it? I was just wondering, because after a few lan parties, my poor case is starting to get a few scuffs and scratches. (They especially show up when I turn on the CC)

Thanks.

HappyC, Stop at a local Honda motorcycle dealer and ask for " Pro Honda spray Cleaner and Polish". It's a spray on/wipe off polish that works great on plastics. It gets used regularly on my bike's windshield and on the face shield of my helmet. another option is Plexus plastic polish. probably can be found at a local autoparts store.

yes. It'll remove small scratches (probably not something you can catch a fingernail on tho) and also apply a protective waz-like coating. Of the 2, plexus is probably more aggressive.

You could always buff it out if you have a Dremel too.

I agree completely! Heck, even with the right compound the tiny size of the wheels will still usually cause visible variations in the surface. Now, when we're using a nice big 5" to 12" buffer (like you'd use on your car)... well, that's another story.

Yes with out the proper compound you will burn the plexi. I don't recomend using a dremel. It spins way to fast for plastic. Practice on a spare piece of plexi to get your best results of a good finish.
