| Am i the only one or does anyone else hate big name companies. Awhile ago i needed new RAM for my computer. Now i shopped around. Went to Best Buy [cuz they have the "best buys" lol, sorry bad joke] and for Kingston RAM 256MB it was $90.00. Searching online i discovered that RAM was only about $50 or less. I personally am tired of companies taking advantage of their consumers. We work hard for our money only to have overpriced products sold to us. Their is nothing i can do about this other than view my opinion, and that is all that this is. It just seems like all companies care about anymore is maximizing profit without care for their consumers. My last solution would be to become an employee at best buy, infiltrate and sleep with the top women leaders to work my way to the top. Then topple the organization by changing the prices of all products within the system to $1. ![]() | ||

| Dude, they're there to make a profit, not for community service. If you need something to install right now, go there and pay more, otherwise, order it online and wait a week for it to come from the place that doesn't have to pay rent on a 20000 sq foot facility in every city with 5 times as many staff. Costs are higher with a retail store, prices are higher too, it all depends on how soon you want the product, and how much work you're prepared to do to get it. All just a complicated way of saying "Such is life, now get over it already" | ||

| The prices while they aren't reasonable in retail companies and such, my biggest concern was just the lack in customer service. If im gonna pay money for something i would like the store to have good customer service. With a decently knowledgeable staff. Thats all i would like when paying a hefty price for products. | ||

| Problem with your theory of Best Buy ripping people off is that they are a business - check the definition and that means they are there to make money. They cant make money unless they charge more for there products then they pay - which means by your definition they are "ripping you off". Newegg and similar e-tailers can sell cheaper because they have less employees, no stores to build or fund - far less overhead. Well we will just stop buying at Best Buy - now we have alot of jobless people. Are you seeing the point.......they pay people to work so they must charge more. I doubt the probit margin is all the much more then Newegg makes by the time you factor in the overhead. | ||

| Apex Tech Fanatic Supreme | While Best Buy uses some seriously screwed up tactics to screw people out of money I find it dumb to gripe about their pricing. If a consumer doesn't do the proper research before making a purchase then they are at fault for any mistake they make, not the store. Whenever I make a big ticket purchase I do my homework so that I don't pay too much. Heck, if some idiot wants to give me $500 for a $90 RAM module then it is his loss and my gain. | |
