Default Ice Machine?

Does anyone know if resonably priced counter top ice machines exist? I'm stocking a bar and i've got a mini fridge, but the freezer is only 2 ice cube trays high and takes an afternoon to make ice.

Only a few that I could find but they are still expensive, especially for a college student.
Here they are though:

Eep, those are expensive. My friends on our housing counsil, maybe he can convine them to put an ice machine in the basement or something. They'd probably still charge us if we filled up an ice bucket at the dining hall. I guess we'll stick with trays for now. Anybody got any other tips on setting up a small bar?

Yeah, they are expensive....... and those are the extreme low-end for the ones I found. Most of them with a decent capacity are over $1000.

Still $250 more than we were willing to spend. I was hoping something existed that was around $50, blender sized maybe and could put out a shakers worth of ice every 10 minutes or so... I dont think it does.

Can an ice maker from a regular fridge be used? They have an electrical plug in the back, might look at one and see what the supply voltage etc is, and fab up an enclosure for it. Not sure if they use the freezer's ambient temp to freeze the water though, so ya might have to check into it...

Unless its built into the door (not sure how those work) the only thing an ice maker does is pop the ice out into a collection bucket once its frozen, then refill its tray (has to be hooked up to water), so i'd need a freezer still. Im lookin at a mini freezer for this, since we need freezer space as it is.

Maybe you could have Zennzzo build you one.
Actually, this was intended as a joke, but not too far fetched I don't think.
