Default New Sony PS2 demo disc "BAD"!!

PlayStation 2 owners are seething after discovering that a demo disc distributed by Sony could accidentally erase the memory cards attached to their consoles, wiping out many hours of progress in games such as "Grand Theft Auto."

I did a search on this and I didn't see it posted so I thought that I would share some news and warn a few people on this matter. I received one of these last week!

SO THAT EXPLAINS IT!!!

My cousin had his memory card in and playing the new demo disc...later come to find out that everything was deleted somehow.

Now I gotta make sure my card is alright....brother has been playing that too often.

Definitely, this is a major problem since most everyone that owns a PS2 probably got this disc.

Turns out mine is fine, luckily my brother took the memory card out every time he played it in fear of it doing the same thing

Is this really a bug or is this the first virus for PS2?

P.S. btw you guys should really back up your data! I thought you guys would know this by now.

When my copy arrived I didn't even know I had it yet, but sure enough, I found the blue paperboard Sony Holliday Games 2004 thing ripped open ( with my fricken first & last name on the front in bold text) only to find the Blue Underground disc still inside, though played ( which didn't impress me one bit). I thought little of it and assumed my pops just wanted to try it, upon reading this, I checked my mem card.... -Whew! Those moments of utter terror waiting for the PS2 to boot where painstaking as i've just recently finished slaving for all four ( Photo's, Tags, Horse-Shoes, & optional Unique stunts) in GTA: SA, i'm calling my friend tomarrow ( currently in possession of the disc) to warn him about it.. What horrors gamers face these days..
