Default 555 flasher layout help

i just bought a 555 timer today and a pack of 150 assrted resistors, and wondering if anyone has , or knows of a site that has a diagram of a setup for a LED flasher, but heres the kicker, If Possible could it be on a Breadboard? wondering why? it would just be easier for me, i have spent hours on google trying to find something, but have come up empty

I can look through my notes and try to isolate the timer circuit from a servo controller. Just hope that I can find that chapter of notes...

[edit:] What I was able to find probably isn't useful. The IC's are labeled on this worksheet as 556. Sorry I couldn't help. I'm only a freshman student.

Just for future reference, the 556 is just a dual 555 timer, in other words, two 555's in one IC.

Hawk is correct a 556 is 2 seperate 555's in one package and can be used as a single. You could use them both toghether to create different timing patterns if you wish.
