| After spending 16 hours in the past 2 days clearing up other people stupid mistakes at my work, with a migrane and sore eyes im extremely relieved to finally meet friday. It's an ok job but when ur doing the same repetitive thing for 2 days straight whilst feeling really ill you kinda lose it. So i ask you, where do you work? why do you work where u work? do you like working where u work? | ||

| I work at Pizza Hut. I cook, cut, wait tables and deliver. Suprisingly enough, after 18 months there, I still enjoy the job and the people... for a buck above minimum wage plus tips for waiting tables and delivering, you can't really beat it with another food service job. | ||

| I work for the largest Chopper frame manufactuer in the world. I'm the network administrator, Database manager/designer, and CAD operator, and now they want me to run the water jet cutter. I work 50+ hours a week already and I'm taking 5 units in college. I need a vacation. And some people are freaking morons with a computer and should NOT be allowed to touch one. [/rant] | ||

| My previous two jobs were: Advanced tech support for Comcast Cable Internet and Graphic/Website designer for goabsolutewireless.com. Nowadays I focus my energies and attention (what little of it I have) at freelance web/graphic design and running this joint. I used to run PR while working the two previous jobs and now that I run PR full-time I have NO IDEA how I ever had time to work on it before. | ||

| I deal with people screaming at me due to the fact they didn't read their warranty contract, and it's my fault for some reason. Also, due to the fact several techs have been taking vacations, I've literally been working 7 day weeks and they just cut our pay (our pay is department based, and they just cut the percentage of the profit our department gets)... Guess... | ||

| I work a McDonald's, cause they're the only ones who'd hire me at the time, and to this day, I've only gotten 2 other interview call backs... and one I was turned down because I couldn't work full time... was for PCHertz.com ... what really pisses me off about it, is that the guy they did hire doesn't have a f*cking clue about computers... but hey, he can work full time, right? And obviously, "I'm lovin' it!" Right? F*ck that... I hate my job, and am jumping ship at the first opportunity. | ||

| I work at the Monroe County Sheriffs Dept - its my job to make people unhappy. I work there because its *INTERESTING* - no two days are the same and you wouldnt believe half the stuff I see/deal with. Lets just say Jerry Springer may not be as fake as you think it is. My insurance rocking is part of the reason I work there. 100% paid by employer (no costs to me) family medical and dental - not to shabby. | ||

| I work for Kingsway Financial Services, which owns many of the insurance companies you guys use (Southern United, Lincoln General, American Service, American Country and others) I'm Desktop Support Supervisor, (backup) Network Administrator, and Webmaster. Because of the flexibility of my job, I'm able to enjoy PR for most of the day, and not inturrupt anything I need to do here. I get access to all sorts of cutting-edge technologies. (except AMD stuff ) I'm also responsible for purchasing all computer-related equipment.I LOVE my job! ![]() | ||

| I am a G.S. worker for the U.S. Army running an Automation and Network section that handles all the personnel systems and databases for Fort Leavenworth. I have also been the division project manager for the last month, and since my Novell administrator has been hired away I have been doing that also. When I'm only wearing the one hat, I love the job. Good money, great benefits, relaxed atmosphere. With the additional two hats I have been pretty busy, but still enjoy the work. I'll probably stick around here for a while longer. | ||

| I'm a Senior Web Developer at an insurance company (though not one that PJ owns ). I'm the only one here who knows Photoshop, so I get to do most of the graphic work, which I enjoy. In my limited experience, job satisfaction comes from three things: being good at what you do, knowing you're making a difference, and having your efforts appreciated. In the short term, money and/or benefits can make up for lack of these. While I don't hate it, I don't find my job satisfying. Most people who use my programs work 300 miles away in our other office. I don't even know what most people I work with look like. Reviews are based more on politics than performance (everyone in my department received a performance rating of Average last year, because the previous year, "ratings were too high"). I'm good at what I do, and that might be enough if the money were exceptional. But according to Salary.com, I'd need a $23,000 raise to be in the 50th percentile for this job in this area. Still, it's more than most people in this state make, and given the job market... well, that's why I'm still at my job. | ||
