It ain't time yet. You are still within limits with your rig. Save your money up for the BIG upgrade in 2003.

I'm telling you, you got the fever. Your system is fine right now. If you can squirrel away some money you will be able to get an FX card, a Hammer CPU, and a board that supports it next summer.

If you hold off, it will be the rest of us who blew our wad on current technology who will be jealous.

I have to agree with them. Im running a athlon 1.4, 512 of pc2100, a ti4200 128mb and I was thinking about upgrading right after christmas but these guys kinda changed my mind. Not that I want a Hammer. Im gonna be looking at a highend t-bred or barton and atleast some cas 2 333 and Well for graphics Im not sure. Right now its the 9700pro but If the benchmarks for the geforcefx are as good as everyone thinks they will be I might have to go that rout. So all and all Im probably gonna squirrel away too.

lol...Well the only thing I can say since youve already decided is to maybe get some fast ram. PC2100 kinda bottlenecks as the P4 gets fast. If I was to build one today Id go with nothing less than PC2700. If youve got enough money laying around get some pc3200 and if your board will support it.
