well as i went on this showing what i was doing road here are sum more things

this is a password systemt hat i have built for my friend

a person enters a password if wrong it locks him out for some time

if password is correct it boots up his computer

pretty nifty i though

then heres my first fan grille i have made using my dremel

its not finished or anything, jsut for fun

and its supposed to be a biohazard sign

That keypad thing, I've seen those at Allelectronics where it is just the pad with mounting brackets and circuitry. I think they were only a couple of bucks. You should be able to mount one of those into the case somewhere and wire it up. Pretty sure I've seen it done before.

Couldn't you program it for other functions also? Kind of like macro keys.

I'm into the keypad thing. I was thinking of getting something like that, haven't really found anything other then Biometric stuff (which I am still considering).
But that's awsome that you're working on it.

LOL u really think i would spent all of my time making the circutry and programing the pic chip? um NO (well atleast not for this kind of thing, since its not for me or anything)

me went to radio shack, picked up a $3 alarm system keypad, and moded it to start up the puter EASY!!!

and then sold it for $20
