No such thing. Why can't you request your password? I smell something fishy, oh wait, that's dinner.

don't you have a secret question or something?
did you make sure you eliminated all the newb mistakes like capitalization and caps lock?

I need to get this password man. I can't request it because I don't remember the answer to my question.

There is a such thing as brute forcing. I'll do anything....dictionary attacks, brute forcing........and kind of exploit will be helpful.

You really think you can brute force a WEBSITE? You'd probably end up getting your IP logged for something looking like a low level DoS attack.

yep that's about how it works out, can't remember the password so how you expect me to remember the secret question? LOL

you can't remember your secret question answer....well it should have been something obvious and personal apparently it wasn't. I don't need cracks because I don't manage more then one e-mail account because THIS happens when I try.

Edit: to request don't you have to just type e-mail? it should send to to another account you have (if you set it up)

Edit2: you can just enter your ID, but I suppose it's wishful thinking to hope you wrote that down

Keep in mind that any attack would invalid the permissable use of Yahoo, even if it is to get to your mail account. Simply asking us for assistance in gaining access to an account (that might or might not be yours) through illegal means can and will hold PimpRig legally responsible for providing a forum in which persons can ask how to "cyber-attack" a paticular ISP in order to gain access. PimpRig is not a place for hackers nor do I imagine that Glitterkill would allow this kind of discussion thread to exist.

The only legal means in which you can gain access to your account is through the assistance of the webmaster/account systems administrator for Yahoo.

Forgetting your password and/or the answer to the secret question does not allow you to illegally gain access to the Yahoo account, no matter how valuable the information.

Rob is right, this discussion, if continued, needs to be continued elsewhere.

Damn man, I wasn't trying to engage in illegal activities. Ever heard of whitehat hacking? Hacking for security, and knowledge, simply what I am trying to do, but nevermind.

Thanks to those who tried to help.

I realize this (I have owned a computer since 1981), but perception is everything to potential PR business partners. Consider it treading in a gray area as what you are describing can be used for several different purposes, some of which are not legal.
I hope you can understand the need to keep these discussions elsewhere.

I am trying to end this thread, so just leave it be.

Thank you.
