I knew about a corporate edition but I figured it was the same thing as Windows XP Pro. Is corporate edition just XP Pro with no account activation?

This is just further evidence of Microsoft attempting to control the world in the name of corporate profits. Really, this is just disgusting. I actually own legitimate copies of XP but my company also has a corporate license and as an IT admin, if I have to go to each computer and retype that evil 25-character product key, I just might snap.

But won't you have to only retype the cd-key if you reinstall after this goes into effect? Still, such a pain, as I have the corporate edition here and I really don't feel like having to go through the trouble to get a new cd-key.

Lightbulb repetivive task

Wixx,
Being military, repetetive tasks are a way of life. so, a small suggestion, just in case you really have to type in the 25character cd key. put it into notepad onto a disk and cut and paste the thing. *shrugs* it works, believe me. After five different places for info, you're looking for a disk quickly!

I guess that was another of your "repetitive tasks" huh??

just type it once, print it about 25 times and hand them to the schmucks as they walk in "Here, type this in"
