I just got a 19" monitor for free...

...i love my fuggin job...just inherited a 19" monitor because i had turned the brightness all the way down and they thought it was broke, and they got so much money they just bought another one and gave me this perfectly good one...heres to hoping this delightful trend never ends

. Oh well, like you said, they can afford it. I love my job as well. I've got a free Palm Pilot to use with no set return date (though I don't get to keep it), plus great pay and flexible hours. Plus web browsing when I have free time

where do you work? what do you do there?

me, i work for nextel as a partner/employee doing all their computer related tasks such as printers, presentations, web design and grafx and taking "broken" equipment off their hands...heh heh heh

i dont get payed a great deal, but obviously the perks are pretty darn nice

btw, it was a 17', not 19, but i aint gonna cry about it, (free=dont bitch about it)

anyone else got any stories like this, im interested to hear them.

well I get my systems for free because it is a buisness expense. I have to shell the money out up front but I get it back at the end of the year. Hey guess that is the benifet of owning a computer company.

I work at my country's Office of Education in IT. I just fix people's computers when they screw them up, stuff like that.

Well, I get the outdated stuff. But working with less, makes the pimping all the more fun

Right now I have about 14 486's and pentium 1's in my basement, that I figured if nothing else , they're good for the cases and stuff.

In my job I get to see the world for free, I'm guaranteed 3 hots a day, and they ensure I have a warm cot at night. On top of all that, they still give me money! It don't get any better than that.

correction...it is a 19"...but im not too impressed with it

this thing supports resolutions into the 2000's x 1000's but the dot pitch on it sux ass tho, everything is blurry no matter how low or high the resolution is set...

think imma hook up my other...better...mitsubishi 17" up instead...it is a TFT and the picture is MUCH clearer on it, .20dp instead of the .27 or .29 im sure this thing is...
